A
Brief History of St. Andrew's
St. Andrew's Methodist Church originally
started as a small group of Christians who met together at first
in each others homes and then at Moons
Moat Meeting Rooms in the mid 1970's.
We then moved into the YMCA in the
early 80's. During this time the members began to look at building
a new Church on Church Hill Centre. A piece of land was bought and
fund raising began. It wasn't long before enough money had been
raised and
the church was soon built. On the 5th
December 1984, St. Andrew's Methodist Church opened its doors to
the public.
Since then we have met as a
group of Christians from all different denominations every week
for worship and many other activities including social
events.
